Crockett County Museum is seeking a full-time (40-hour work week) Museum Attendant beginning August 10, 2026.
The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for and ability to serve museum visitors, facilitate and promote the museum through social media, maintain a professional, clean and welcoming environment for visitors, assist in setting up exhibits, purchase and display merchandise to create attractive product displays to maximize sales.

- $15.00 hourly rate
- Hours are 9:00 – 5:00 Monday through Thursday and 8:30 – 4:30
Friday’s. Some Saturday’s may be required. - Vacation; Sick pay provided
- Reports to the Museum Administrative Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Greet all guests, ensure they all sign in, collect fees, and process sales through Point of Sale (POS) system
- Promote Museum memberships, tours, and events
- Administer janitorial duties – dust, sweep, mop, take out trash, clean bathrooms, etc.
- Check gift shop orders against invoices and maintain accurate inventory records
- Conduct tours when required
- Perform clerical duties as assigned by Administrative Coordinator
- Assist in setting up exhibits
- Receive and process deliveries
- Execute security procedures
- Utilize Microsoft Office software and operate office equipment
- Maintain landscape when requested
- Assist in events hosted at the Museum or chosen venue

- Maintain clear knowledge of all emergency procedures.
- Know the mission of the Museum and its history.
- Be dependable, attentive, and accommodating while always adhering to
Museum policy. - Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
